Step 3: Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), (free after 7/25/15) Completed online 10-15 minutes

Step 4: Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services, (free after 7/25/15), Completed online 20-30 minutes

Step 5: Fingerprint based FBI Criminal History Clearance submitted through the Department of Human Services, $27.50, The relevant codes to Cradle of Liberty would be:1KG6ZJ DHS Volunteer1KG756 Employee >=14 Years Contact w/ Children.

Volunteers who have resided in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years, can submit a Disclosure Statement for Volunteers in lieu of the Fingerprint based FBI Clearance: Disclosure Statement & Waiver Application for FBI Background Check for volunteers

Q. How long does it take the Commonwealth to process the clearances?
A. Some of the clearances come back within a few minutes, however some may take as long as 4-6 weeks.
Q. What is the timeline to provide the clearances to Cradle of Liberty Council?
A. As Per Pennsylvania law, all new volunteers must secure their clearances prior to volunteering in any capacity.
