Troop 111 History

Boy Scouts of America, Troop 111 (BSA 111)  is proud to be sponsored by Trinity Presbyterian Church at 360 N Oak Lane in Clifton Heights, PA. We have served the Delaware County community since 1949. Troop 111 actually formed as Troop 1 in Westbrook Park under the leadership of the first Scoutmaster was “Mr. Mac” (Larry McCandless). Troop 1 transitioned to Troop 111 in 1951 so the numbers matched the Explorer Post and the Cub Pack.

Troop 111 has provided a personal growth and leadership development environment for boys and young men while serving the nearby community and following scouting values.  Troop 111 has a program designed to keep any scout busy! Our activities include monthly camping trips, rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, snowboarding, beach camping, rifle shooting, archery, merit badge workshops, leadership training, and fishing among others. Troop 111 also goes to a summer camp for 1 week every Summer (The location changes each year).
